Can I call DOD for EAD status - K1?

While adjusting form K1, we got a mailed notice that the AOS case is transferred to CSC which I think is normal.

But we have not received anything for the EAD biometrics yet. I see on the status page that it about less than a month to get the biometrics notice and our has been over 45 days. Is it possible to call the DOD number to get the status in case the postal mail letter was misplaced by USPS?

The uscis website says "Initial Review" but I have no hopes that it will be updated beyond that status.

Any idea? wait? call somewhere? etc?

I think u need to call them. u should have received it by now. we received ours with the hard copy of the NOA

DOD was a typo for DOS :). I will call the USCIS number. Thanks

USCIS is part of the Department of Homeland Security, not the Department of State. Department of State handles only end-stage processing of visa and other applications at their overseas consulates. All immigration processes in the U.S. are managed by USCIS/Department of Homeland Security.

What did you ask about? It sounds like you asked about EAD, which is yes, 3 months. But I think you are after your biometric appointment, no? You need to call back and ask about no biometric appointment after 30 days.

If you are asking about just the EAD, then wait.

I did specifically mention "biometrics". She said based on the 3 months for EAD, biometrics may take any amount of time before that time based on the backlog.

You got a clueless customer support person, call them again and again until you get the person who will put in the service request for the biometrics appointment letter. Same thing happened to us, no letter arrived. We got the service request in and had a letter within a week.
