They're only as accurate as the members of the site. It's dependent upon us to update our information. There are a number of folks who have the wrong Service Center, wrong country, don't list the visa type, etc., which will impact estimates.

Did you make a copy of the package that was sent in? If so, look over it very carefully, see if it's a missed signature or an unchecked box. If not, I hope it's something else that's easy to fix!

I have the copies that I sent to Patrick and I triple checked them...but I knew USA Embassy in Albania is a tough one so I was expecting something like it...sooo maybe it's something small. We won't know till we get the letter in the mail. Thank you!

Your petition is processed by the USCIS in the US, not the US Embassy in the beneficiary's country... BTW, I hope you'll have a easy one.

hopefully someone will be able to help, my fiance in AZ filed for our K-1 Visa at the Texas Center in January but we have not heard anything back, I have read that we was meant to receive a receipt with a case number on it but we have had nothing back. I dont know if its because we sent it to the Texas Center or if we have done something wrong and they just havnt replied, hopefully someone can help us.

If I remember correctly it had to be sent to the Dallas Lock Box. If it was indeed sent to the other place, it might take a bit for it to be sent to the proper place.

its just getting depressing knowing that we sent it in january and its now june and we've not heard anything at all, my fiance is thinking about re-doing all the paperwork we sent and sending it to the CA center this time but not sure if that would be a good idea.

It's not. The paperwork is out there. It will get to the proper place in due time.

And if it is indeed lost, it has to be sent to the Dallas Lock Box, they forward it to either Vermont or California.

You'll probably get more replies if you start your own thread, but yes, your fiance definitely should have received a notice (I-797) in the mail a few weeks after the petition was sent (along with an email and/or text message if he/she included the electronic notification form). Also, if the instructions were followed correctly, the petition should have been sent to the Dallas Lockbox (which is not the same thing as the Texas Service Center) which would then have forwarded it along to the California Service Center.

sorry was my fault i said the Texas service center but when i checked the address it was the dallas lockbox. just for conformation we sent it to USCIS, P.O. Box 660151 Dallas TX 75266. so if i read what you wrote right, they should have sent it to CA?
