I'm sorry the Caucasian American men in here. I means the racist for generally. If you watch the whole film "The village called Versailles," then you will understand my feelings. My husband is Caucasian man like you, Anh Map, but I know that except him, no others could respect me and support me as a normal person in the US. I face a lot of racism attitude in study, works, and life. Not all Americans are racist; however, there are racists here, in the US.

There are racists world wide. It is disappointing to hear any person making blanket statements about any group.

At first, I did not think about the concept of racist when I arrived the US. However, when I study in school and go to work, I faced many cases that changed my mind. Even my American classmates in school share with me their ideas about the racism in the US and remind me that I should be careful.

Maybe, if you are the white man, you cannot feel it, but the black students told me their stories and lives.

David and I live in a small house at WA with good neighborhood. I like them. However, out of home and neighborhood, I faced many obstacles in works and jobs that David has to agree with me that there are racists around us. Usually, I have David involved to help me. If I try to solve the problem by myself, it did not work. Counselor cannot help me in this problem, just costs money.

The best way is I try to get help from the people who want to help me and avoid to contact to the racist people.

After 30 years in US.... I still in love with this song...

ok - i read all at that website. I am happy the judge reversed his decision and she received 120K usd from private donations. I think she can breathe a bit easier now.

this was a county judge, yes? not a state judge? That's what I remember, from reading the articles.. But hey - Willis Texas is backwards on some things - perhaps the judge will not get re-elected anytime soon.

My wife and I live in Texas, we are both vietnamese and we have never encountered racism. I am not a racist either. I don't know where the notion came from that texans are racist towards vietnamese.

eh - i think it started in Palacious circa 1974 after the first boatlift. Of that, I have personal, detailed knowledge - I stayed with families down there during my summers, working on the shrimp boats. There was some turf war for shrimping, but then it escalated. IIRC, all got settled round 1987, and the racism has settled down to almost 0, there.. But probably an isolated incident, albeit a big one (shrimping is big business in Palacious)

I have lived in Texas most of my life (since I was 6). I grew up with racism in the early 80's and 90's.

It was so common that I can tell if someone is a racist or not. We have ignorant people everywhere!

Racism is not as bad today as it was 20 years ago!

why are you viet folks complaining about racism? the economy is a better subject to discuss.

If the white man do you wrong just vote him out of office. What seem to be the problem here?

Anh Map, I don't have time much to tell you what I saw in my life here. However, I am drafting a study about Asian wives, especially Vietnamese wives, who immigrate to the US by fiance and marriage visa. When I complete it, I will post it for all of you to understand the Vietnamese wives' thoughts about their new lives in the US. I don't know whether you could read Vietnamese, but if you could, you will understand more in the forum of Vietnamese women in another website.

Now, I have to do my job for studies.

IT was meant as a genderal statement the person in power does not have to be white.

Last Time I check he was Half White if you want to be technical.

I'm Sick and tired of you people complaining of Racism.

Do something about it.

if you dont like your boss because he is racist: Start your own company or go get another job.

If you dont like your Racist Neighbor Moved or burn his house down so he will move.

Get my point Here

You shouldn't get so worked up on an issue that has been around for hundreds of year and most likely will be around for awhile
