Unmarried statement versus certificvate

My wife stayed in China until she got this retirement situation worked out with the insurance company and it took her a while. To collect this retirement insurance she had to have worked for at least 15 years and the retirement age for a woman was 50. Anyway, after she quit she had to go back and forth from her former company and the insurance company and finally worked out a deal with the insurance company for which she had been paying this insurance for 17 years.

My wife had a good paying job so we/I paid 6,000 rmb the first year and the next year it was 6,300 which when she worked her company paid 22% and my wife paid 8% of her salary, like our social security. She says that if we did not pay this then when she reached retirement age she would only get like 300 rmb a month retirement verses if we pay every year then this amount would increase to like 1,200 rmb a month. When she turns 50 she would have this money go to either her mother or sister. Now she is saying that China is talking about raising this retirement age by 5 years.
