Hello everyone! I am new to VJ and found this site while doing some research. My husband and I got married last February and we are in the process of filing out all the forms needed for my Aos process. While doing that I noticed that sime of the infomation on his Naturalization certificate seems to be flaking off. Although it doesn't make it illegible it has made me a lttle nervous since this is one of the key documents that we need. So my question is do you think we should apply for him to get a new Naturalization certificate or do you think it would be fine to use the one that we have now?

It's fine. They only need a photocopy for now. Bring the original to the interview.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

If it's legible, it's OK. Even if the certificate showed a certificate number but was otherwise questionable, USCIS can often pull up his file and check his status that way.
