Just wanted to give an update on my case. So after my first disaster of an interview and having to come back to tell everyone on VJ/ my personal family that my visa was denied was very devastating for hubby and I, so we decided that next time, we would inform everyone only when we were sure of the success. Well, I will finally be able to sleep tonight cos we had our interview today and it was a success and I am very grateful to GOD. They never brought up anything about the first interview, just asked him what I did, how we met, how soon did he want to leave. He said the lady that interviewed him seemed to be in an extremely happy mood. She also asked how we communicate and once she saw the load of evidence, she didn’t want to look through it. She looked at a couple of our pics and commented on them. He was told to come pick up his visa in 4 days. Wanted to say best wishes to those still waiting especially those whose second time around it will be and those who have been waiting such a long time. I will continue to update if I know how they are coming along with I-130 interview dates. My lazy butt finally updated my timeline.

06/06/05 I-130 NOA1

06/14/05 K-3 NOA1

07/08/05 k-3 NOA2

07/22/05 K-3 leaves NVC to Lagos

08/08/05 Hubby picks up interview packet from embassy

11/17/05 K-3 interview (denied, C.O refused to take co-sponsor for k-3)

12/16/05 I-130 NOA2

01/03/06 NVC assigns case number

02/15/06 Case complete (thank you James Shortcuts- only 6 weeks!)

04/19/06 tired of waiting, filed k-3 #2 ( petition is still lost in oblivion)

09/11/06 NVC scheduled CR-1 interview/ on to Lagos (thank God after 7 months of waiting!)

10/14/06 Interview date (success!)

10/18/06 Hubby goes to pick up visa- not ready ( ugh what's going on!)

10/19/06 Visa in hand ( thank you God!)

10/29/06 Together at last :)

Whole process 1 year and 4 months

INTERVIEW DATE SEPT 13, 2004

Going to NIGERIA 9/8/04 SO HAPPY 9/13/04 Interview. WE had a really hard time. They guy that interviewed us was raciest so we are waiting now. We were put on REVIEW.

4/01/05 Going to Nigeria to see my beloved. 4/05/05 I became Pregnant

4/15/05 Went to embassy to see about our case. They said they are still processing be done soon.

5/01/05 Went to embassy again to see if there almost through with the case. Said that they will be done with it soon No need to worry.

5/12/05 Returned to America went to Doctor to confirm Pregnancy

8/12/05 Steve goes to the embassy they called him. They told him the need more paper work

8/14/05 he provided all the paper work and they still said that they will be finished soon.

9/13/05 YEAR SINCE OUR INTERVIEW

1/02/06 Baby Girl Kelita Amaka born

2/7/06 Sent out packet to finish I130

2/15/06Sent out all the fees

5/06/06 RFE need info from Hubby

6/1/06 recieved his packet sent it back in

6/7/06 in system again

6/14/06 Case completed

1/16/07Interiew *requested DNA test of Our Daughter

1/29/07 Dna Completed waiting for the kit to be sent for his DNA

9-13-06 - called NVC, they stated case was forwarded to Lagos on Sept. 11th and Dans interview is Oct. 19, 2006. Thank you dear lord.

10-19-06 - Dan had his interview and was approved. Will pick up visa on Wed. My king is finally coming home. Visa wasn't ready, had to go back on Mon. Oct. 30th to pick it up. Has it in hand.

11-17-06 - Dan arrives at Detroit Metro Airport at 11:00 a.m. This is one happy day for us.

11-25-06 - Dan receives his social security card.

12-06 - Dan receives 3 welcome letters and his green card shortly afterwards.
