After 6 months and 2 weeks, my husband and I finally got the news we were waiting for!! Approved!! Let me just fill everyone in on what I did on contacting the USCIS and my Congressman to help us get there!!

On May 2nd I submitted a service request, we were at 5 months and 2 weeks at that point. After that I contacted my Congressman. My Congressman got back to us and told us we would have a determination by the 21st of May. The Sevice request came back and it said they would make a determination within 45 days...So we waited. It is so difficult to wait on your love!

21st came and still no determination at the USCIS. My Congressman contacted them again, at which time they said our case should have been approved already, that the person who was handling our case was backlogged!! Two days later she contacted them again and still no determination. She then contacted the supervisor in charge of our case worker last Friday!

At 1:30 am Wednesday USCIS sent us an approval letter in my email. I am so thankful that we had a Congressman willing to help us out! Now, off to the next waiting phase lol. I feel for everyone having to wait extra long for an approval, it's coming soon. God Bless!!
