Finally had my interview and test yesterday.Everything goes fine!

I arrived 15 minutes before my 8:30 appointment, and have to relaxed

after that many turns following my mapquest guide.

Anyway, to make it fast forward,the lady called my name around 8:45 am.

After being swore,I was told to have a seat.After checking everything what

was on my N-400 form,she started asking me questions.

Who is the "Father of Our Country"?

Name one war fought by the US in the 1800?

Who is the chief justice of the US now?

The house of representative has how many voting members?

We elect US representatives for how many years?

What month do we vote for president?

Those are the only one I can remember then I was told to

write ... George Washington is the father of our country.

then I was told I passed, and she continue checking my files,

and handed me a paper as congratulations and to wait for the time

and when for the oath taking.

I have to wait more than an hour in the lobby for the oath taking

schedule.This will be on Dec.7th

Maybe as soon as I can have my certificate,I can say,it's over.

please,somebody update my timeline.

Heh well I'd bet all the Atlanta filers are still just waiting.

Grashoppr: Here is what I did. I have been trying to put in an e-request for the last few days but the system kept rejecting me stating that I was within the processing timeline. The day before yesterday, I clicked on the option where it said, if there was a typo problem with a notice sent to me. I knew that would go through. In the detail, I wrote that I have not heard from USCIS regarding my application. Today, I received an email from USCIS regarding my query, which stated that my file was with the local office and pending an interview date. Sharing with you, in case you want to take that route and see if that gets their attention.

Also, I called the USCIS number and somehow got the Customer rep. to escalate my call. Unfortunately, After keeping me waiting for 1 hour and 13 minutes, I hung up. If I had gotten hold of the officer, I would have gotten something from him that I dont already know. My guess is that it was near 8:00PM and seems like they were just ditching calls in order to call it a day. I'll try again on Monday.

Wow, that's jumping through hoops. :) Spending an hour + on the phone is a bummer.

Next week I'll be outside of processing times so I should be able to open an e-request. I filed 154 days ago (priority date 152 days ago)... so I might already be able to but I'll give it the weekend.

Some folks reported a weird status change yesterday, that changed back to their original current status shortly afterwards, so I don't know if they had a system glitch or something. I saw no change, but I might have "missed" the glitch when it happened. I don't sit there refreshing all day long LOL! Still no change when I checked today.

I'm still with MamaSue thinking we'll have something by mid-month in December, probably scheduled for mid-January (so I'll have to renew my driver's license, but I'm going to wait as long as I can before doing that, before it expires).

Hoping to be done and finished by the end of January at this point. That will be 7 months.

I witnessed that glitch myself and thats the reason I called USCIS, hoping to cash it in. It was the same glitch that confused the Customer Rep. who transferred me to a tier 2 officer. If that guy had picked up, I would have gotten some info. After about an hour, when I checked my status again, it was back to 90 days.

December 4th marks the 90-day mark since customer service responded to my Aug. 31st inquiry. Apparently they sent an email, that I never received (had even been watching my spam filter.) When I inquired on Aug. 31st, the online status said if no IL received in 30 days... and I was given a reference number and told that I'd get a response from the DO within 15 days. Even 15 business days (versus calendar days) would have put it around Sept. 22 or so.

During those 15 days, the status changed to "within 90 days"... so when I didn't receive a reply I figured that was why. When I called in October - after the 90 days, they told me now it's 90 days after Sept. 4th when they answered my inquiry (!!!) So Dec. 4th will be 90 days plus (October has 31 days). At the Infopass I got my passport stamped and all that good stuff but the agent there could only confirm that my file was still in Missouri. He said Missouri schedules the interview and sends the letter, then forwards the file to the local office in Atlanta. He said some receive a yellow letter (I showed him mine) and he said it's usually "soon after" that they send the IL. Well the yellow letter was dated Sept. 27th. Just over 2 months ago.

All he could tell me was that I'd have the IL within 60 days (of Oct. 31st, when I was there). Candidly he said it would likely be sooner than that, he speculated 20 days, but said he's reluctant to tell people any sooner than 60 days in case it does take longer. At that time he said they were processing May filers.

So following that logic, I'm still not out of line with what he'd been seeing. I'd hoped for some news before now - we're just over 60 days since the YL was issued. Surely it can't drag on too much longer... (did I say that? I surely just jinxed myself!) Looking on Trackitt, I'm lagging behind average processing time for ATL this year. :(

I'm sure the upcoming holidays won't speed things up any, either. Oh well... it is what it is, right?

Looking at Trackitt, it seems processing time for ATL is hard to predict. Harder than most other district offices. However I am still positive that you will get interview scheduled early December.
