No, my son got it too, but he even can't apply for the citizenship for two more years. And this card has his old last name - he used new for more than two years.

sorry my mistake. I did FP on August 7. But I have not heard anything since than. But one person that I know of, told me it does not take more than two weeks to get appointment after FP.

I wish that was true. It depends on your local office and the workload they have. It's been almost a month and I have not heard anything from them regarding my interview. Maybe in coming weeks I will. But since I am from New York, I won't complain if my interiew letter doesn't show up for another 2 months. Good Luck and do let us know if you hear something.

Been 5 weeks since my status changed to, "In line for interview". Online status says if no IL after 30 days to call. I called last week - waste of time. She took my info, the DO has 15 days to respond.

It will happen when it happens, but unless you're in a district with few applicants, it will likely take a lot longer than 2 weeks.

I wouldn't call it a waste of time. Has happened to me twice when I have placed service requests for one thing or another. And within 30 days, the outcome has always been positive. I am sure you'll be hearing good news within the 15 days.

Thanks, Kiwiana! My husband is more nervous than I've ever seen him in my life. Kinda cute, but don't tell him I said that. :whistle: We have a very simple case, so as long as he knows the answers to the civics questions, he'll be fine. He's making us leave four hours early (interview is two hours away) to make sure we're there in time. I guess the plan is to find some place for breakfast to kill the rest of the time. Nothing like being over-prepared. lol :blink:
