Congrats to everyone with interview dates!!!

It's been 3 weeks since I was placed in line for interview and still not scheduled ):

Horrible news on my end today. I called because I hadn't heard anything since July 20th when USCIS London had emailed me requesting contact information to schedule me. Previously I had sent an email and they had replied that they would email me back with an interview date as soon as they got my file. So I still hadn't been scheduled so called USCIS in London today and they told me oh the only guy that can do the oath ceremony over here is going on vacation soon and won't be back until the time that we are scheduled to leave the UK. SO upset, so now I have to wait until we are situated in a house in the states which could be months to send an email to USCIS London requesting that they fedex my A file to my future local office for processing which from the looks of it is another 4 months at least once my file arrives. Disappointed is putting it mildly :crying: :bonk:

Oh no! So there's no one who can do that while he's away? That's crazy!

Oh that's a bummer.

Can't you extend your stay in the UK for another month or so?

I'm really sorry to hear about this - They really have been messing you around!!

Had my biometrics on Friday. Appointment was at 2pm - I got there are 12:30 and was seen early. Was in and out in less then 30 mins. Hoping everything else is just as fast.

updated my status. I received interview letter today. My interview is on 19th September. On the checklist they sent.. It says that although not required, it is recommended that you bring two additional passport-style photos. Does anyone know if others who have gone through N-400 interview took the extra passport photos with them? And you have to take your passport with you too.. Do they keep your passport or do they give it back to you?

Yes, I saw some memebers were asked to bring photos, and some were even given and used at the interview, sometimes the photos get mis-placed.

They give you the passport right away, they use it to verify information/travelling abroad.

Mine is the same.

Best thing to do is to track members of the same office your application is at (and try to track recent applications as they are more accurate to give you a time frame)

I tracked some members from my office, it takes approx 40-60 days in my office to be placed in line for interview.

So I am expecting to hear back around uhmmm, the begining-to-mid Sept. The good part is that the office has many aoths every 2 weeks or so, and sometimes if you are lucky the same day. Still better than having an interview and waiting two months or more(in some cases up to 4 months) for an oath like date. I keep my self busy with studying and school. Fingers crossed.

I am at Detroit office. There are two people in April at Detroit too, and they still don't have their dates. Maybe I can forgot about interview for 2-3 month. I am at college too, waiting for the next semester three more weeks, boring... Okay, no more complaining
