Thanks everyone!! I had to wait around one and a half hours in the waiting room before being called in for the interview. And the civic questions and answers were swirling around in my head as i tried to remember them all. In the end,i was asked 'who was the first president', where is the statue of liberty?. name two holidays that are celebrated, who is your states governor? and the rest i forget now lol! I was asked to read.. Who can vote? And had to write.. Citizens can vote.....

I had to show my drivers licence, passport and Greencard and that was all. The interview only took around 10 minutes at a guess.

Beantownbabe: All the best for your Oath ceremony today! Taking your daughter to the statute of liberty to commemorate the occasion sounds like a wonderful idea!!

I had my interview today and i passed...yay!

these are the questions i remember being asked

1 - How many judges are on the supreme court

2 - We select a senator for how many years

3 - In case the president and vice president can no longer serve, who becomes president

4 - Name one branch of the government

5 - What does the president's cabinet do

6 - What do we show loyalty to when we say the pledge of Allegiance

Speaking portion i read "When is Columbus day'

Writing portion i wrote "Columbus day is in October"

She then verified all my personal information and updated my travel info from my passport.

Since i had selected the option of changing my name, she changed it right away and said i didn't have to go through the court since i was only taking up my husband's name as the new last name.

I had to wait about 20min to get the Oath letter which is scheduled for October 10th.

I received an email/SMS last August 31, 2012 that I'm in line for interview and should receive the interview letter. Today is 09/20/2012 and no physical interview letter yet. I noticed on the timelines of most members here that they get the letter in a week after a notice. Should I be bothered? Anyone with similar case? LoL. Just can't wait to get this over with.

No, you should not be alarmed at all, in line means once its your turn they will shcedule you and then send you the letter.

Waiting time from (in line) to (scheduled)depends on your office. Seen people change from in line to scheduled at the same day and up to 70 days.

It varies. I was placed in line on 07/10 and was scheduled until 09/07... Almost two months! You just have to be patient. If the message to call after 30 days then you can, if not, you have to wait. Waiting sux, I know...

Rosie420, It appears that we both have the same district office, KC MO though i reside in Kansas. Are you being offered a administrative oath or a judicial oath? How long after the interview did they send you the oath letter?

I requested a correction/name change on my name and was told that i would require a judicial oath (which is sworn by a judge). Did you request a name change or correction in your name by any chance? Do you know if judicial oaths are perhaps not offered that frequently in our district?

Went for my interview today and passed!! The officer said that i should receive a letter in the mail with my oath ceremony date.. Hope those still waiting for interview dates will receive them very soon!!
