Now have to update my info on my SS and my ID, hopefully no problems on that :unsure:

Congrats..:) You shouldn't have any problem. Just take your social security card, marriage certificate, GC and DL to the SSA and do a name change. You will receive your unrestricted card in the mail within 2 weeks, with that you can change your name on your DL, at your job, school, banks whereever. Also they will take the restricted card. Goodluck and enjoy being Green...:)

I went to SS yesterday with my changed name on my GC so hopefully everything's OK when SS verifies it in USCIS

Yes! He told me if I want to change my last name to my hubby's, I have to do biometrics again, which takes another 2 or 3 months!

I'm sorry about that. Your right that your IO is being an A** for not letting you do that name change. Luckily our IO was nice enough to give in to my request.

Just got told today that my GC is in the mail! Much sooner than expected. No Interview. Got transferred to CSC and already approved. I had been expecting a long wait. :thumbs:

Received Green Card 6th October. No Interview. Amazing!
