You'll get yours soon! My interview was on 9/13 and I wasn't approved on spot. He said he was recommend my case for approval but it needed to be reviewed first. The next day there was an online update saying that they approved my I-130. On Sept 17 I got an update on I-485, also approved. On Sept 20 - card production, and today an update saying that USPS picked up my Green card and I should receive it in 7 days!

But my interview is Sept 10 its been 11 days and no card production yet....if they need something at least let us know

this is sooo frustrating and depressing :crying:

I know I don't apply for SSN yet I thought I will get my GC in a week (SSN without restriction)...so I guess I'll apply with my EAD

and start to get a job...

Hmm, I didn't even think of that. Should I be going to the social security office to have the "for work auth only" restriction removed from my SSN?

You can but a greencard is proof that you are legal to work so I don't think it would matter anyways. Its free so why not. Ill change mine only because I'm doing a name change

Yes once you have Green card with you you can...

I took mother in law last week.... And it was 3yrs after she got her gc.....

Got my green card in the mail!!! I had seen my friend's so I already knew what it looks like, but my husband didn't and he thinks it looks cool :dance:

New job starts on Monday, I'll be able to show them the GC instead of the EAD then :) Then I need to go to the social security office to change the name on my card. And mail a few papers to the French consulate to have our marriage official in France as well!

Adjustment of status from F-1

May 14th, 2012: wedding in Vancouver, WA :)

June 6th, 2012: mailed AOS/EAD/AP

June 8th, 2012: packet delivered

June 11th, 2012: acceptance

June 13th, 2012: received text messages and emails confirming application reception

June 14th, 2012: checks cashed

June 15th, 2012: received hard copies of NOAs (dated June 12th)

July 2nd, 2012: received biometrics appointment letter, scheduled on July 17th

July 17th, 2012: biometrics appointment completed at 10am

August 12th, 2012: interview notice received, scheduled on September 17th

I filed my papers with my married name. Usually they are good with changing your name at the interview....

Hello all,

I haven,t been here for the longest time. Kids started school, I started to work. Been so busy. Hope everyone is well.

I had my interview it was fast, no question whatsoever about my marriage, only question why did I leave the country 7 years ago and abandoned my green card!?!

Anyway she approuved my marriage, no doubt about that but said that they just had a training and that they are not suppose to give a green card a second time. So she went to check with her supervisor, made me wait for 5 long minutes and then said she will approuved the marriage but the rest was out of her hand. Up to her she would give it to me again but as they have some discretion about that she needs to have a full approval on top of her. But she said it should be fine but she coudn't risk to tell me it was ok 100%. What to think about that?

Online status say I 130 approuved but I 485 testing and interview..........

April 3rd 2012: I 130 send to Chicago

May 16th 2012: I 485, I 765, I 131 send by USPS priority mail at the Chicago lockbox

May 18th 2012: AOS received and signed by D.Colonna at 2:18pm at Chicago

June 4th 2012: got my all package return, restarting from level zero again :((((

June 6th 2012 Wednesday (day 0): Info pass and resend the whole package by USPS express mail at the chicago lockbox

June 7th 2012 Thursday (day 1) : package received and signed by Arturo B at 11:45 am

June 19th 2012 Tuesday (day 12): text notification that application was received by USCIS

June 20th 2012 Wednesday (day 13): check was cashed

June 26th 2012 Tuesday (day 19): Hardcopy NOA dated June 19th.

June 28th 2012 Thursday (day 21): appointment notice for bio on July 9th at 1:00 pm

July 9th 2012 Monday (day 32): bio completed

July 13th 2012 Friday (day 36): email for an RFE, soo sad:(

July 19th 2012 Thursday (day 42): RFE in mail

August 1st 2012: RFE response under review

August 15th 2012: (day 70) email EAD card and travel authorization in production

August 16th 2012: (day 71) email interview date for September 24th

August 20th 2012: (day 75) 2nd email for card production and hard copy of interview letter September 24th at 8:15am
