You can call but they will probably give you the 90 days #######. :(

How rude of him. Nothing you can really do though. I mean you could call again and hope you get someone different but either way you have to keep waiting. Hang in there Isa30 hopefully you hear something soon. :)

Thank you and Congrats on your approval...

The effective date is day of production order. Expires one day earlier, one year later...if that makes sense...:)

Here goes for the late update to this forum! It has been a celebratory night! =] We had tons of sushi for dinner with friends and blah blah... :ot: Hehehe.

So we arrived around 15 minutes before the scheduled time. We waited for exactly that much time, as we were called right on the dot. My husband was called in first. And seriously, being outside in the waiting area was painful! Lol~

We were interviewed individually. First, we were asked to held up our right hand and swore that only the truth be told. There was another person sitting at the back observing. He asked for our IDs. Questions asked to us were:

1) Our own parent's first name, (any siblings for my husband)

2) town we were born

3) how we met and what was our first date

4) when we got married, where, and was there a dinner/reception after, who were at the dinner

5) how I came into the country, where I entered, when I came, and if I left the country since I came in.

6) asked my husband if he had been married before, if he has any kids, and asked him if I was married before, and if I had any kids, (to which he jokingly replied - "not yet!", the interviewer didn't even crack a smile! stone cold. Hehe.) The interviewer didn't ask any of these questions to me.

7) he asked me the "proper questions" that we already filled out in our application: are you a spy, are you planning to practice polygamy, are you a member of the communist party, espionage, blah blah. and ticked each one off as i answered.

8) He asked if I am affiliated with any membership or groups.

9) He asked my husband about his work, and if I am working. He asked me if I work. He didn't ask me what my husband does.

10) interviewer asked me what his sister's name is.

11) He asked if there's any more information/papers we would like to share with him.

12) he kept my EAD card and my older EAD card, which i just gave it to him to discard properly.

After that, he said that he has everything he needs and our case is approved. We shall get a confirmation later in the day and to expect the card in 2 weeks.

I came out and my husband thought he is needed inside. I said, "nope, we're done! approved on the spot!"

Everything took 30 minutes. So basically we were interviewed for 15 minutes total.

When we called my in-laws he said, "They grilled me so bad! When it was her turn, they took one look at her and approved her on the spot!" Lol~

Basically, if you are in a real relationship, there is nothing to prepare for the interview. Facts are facts and maybe what they are listening for is the way you answer. Nothing cookie-cutter, easy conversation.

Good luck to everyone!!!!!

sorry about that...that is only for Angeltots and Isa30 and they like it though...

YES WE LIKED IT!!! Thanks. =]

Thanks Angeltots! And CONGRATULATIONS! You deserve it.

Woohooo~!!! Thanks! I'm still on a happy mood.. though I REALLY NEED to clean the house. lol.

Hi All,

I've just been looking through the timelines of the posters on this page and you mostly seem to be having interviews coming up. The other common element is that none of you with an interview coming up, have been transferred to CSC. Hmmm. I have been. SO I guess I am in for the 'Faster' processing.

Ah well, at least I have now had 2 notifications that my EAD/AP card is on it's way...

Good luck to you all!

Hey Chippy's girl, This is the first time I've seen you post. I've added you to the timeline!

Congratulations Angeltots... I wish you the best as an LPR...

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Best wishes to you too. *HUGS*

anyone done there interview without taking a certified copy of the marraige cert, all I have is a copy and interview is today

We brought one. They never asked to see it.

^ Awwww come on IPv6Freely, I'm not a theist either but don't get on somebody's case for expressing good wishes in their own way. :)

Also, Congratulations to Angeltots! Hope all our interviews are as stress-free as yours and just think how stressed you were last night with the letter thing! Total 360!

In other news, my AP card production was ordered today. I can go on a hypothetical foreign holiday that I can't afford now! :D (Or more realistically, go to India if there is an emergency).

Haha, that is so true!! I can now go on a 'hypothetical foreign holiday that I can't afford now' too! lol~

Yay!! you are through!! so what happened?? please share with us! :)

And Good Lord I was having the nervous breakdown just NOW as I was reading through the posts about you losing the sheet last night!! Glad they took the printout from the email... you are absolutely right, that ALONE is reason enough to sign up for that.

Hahaha~ and while suffering from the breakdown, I was also annoyed at how my husband is all calm and not worried!! Lol~ He's more of a problem solver, remaining perfectly calm in challenging situations. He believes there is no help in 'reacting' to the problem. Well, that is true, but freaking out is part of my problem-solving technique! Lol~ xD

Hi all! I just wanted to update here, too. My husband and I had our interview yesterday and we were APPROVED!

Here is my post from the AOS Forum:

Woohoo!!

We had our interview yesterday and my husband's AOS was approved! The interview was a breeze - very relaxed. The only additional evidence that I brought with me that was not included in the initial application were pictures. The interviewer barely looked at them, but said that they were helpful when my husband poked fun at me for making a "collage".

The interviewer asked how we met and whether we've been together ever since (at a bar 8 years ago, and yes).

He asked each of us where the other was born and their birthday (my husband named the actual hospital I was born at, which got a chuckle)

And that was pretty much it aside from the random questions on the 485.

The interviewer said that he was going to approve our application and that we would get the green card soon (he gave a time frame, but I completely forgot it already). He did not stamp my husband's passport, but said that if there was an emergency that he needed to leave the country for he could come back and they would stamp it for him.

And last night we got a text notification that the card is in production!

Good luck to everyone still waiting!
