I mean do you think the IO will think were not that organized etc???

No I don't think so. Don't worry too much about that. You will be fine!!

Great, congratulations!!!

Just order my taxes transcript, so I will bring it to the interview. It took them 3.5 weeks to process it!!

Ah that sucks. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it was in Kansas that I got my license, and in a small town at that.

I do know that going the other direction, Ontario will give you a full G when you "trade-in" your US license. This amuses me, since I only ever made it to G2 before moving to the US. :rofl:

Though it's worth mentioning that when I moved from KS to CA, I had to take the written also. I think they just make everyone do it.

Well, I was wrong. They DID care that he had a Canadian DL. Turns out that if you have a Canadian license(or a license from a few other places) they will give you a "temporary license" when you pass the written test, good for 2 months. He still has to take the road test, but at least he's driving legally now. :D

Got my card and waiting for the email confirmation that I got a job!

So exited, life will finally start....again........

Kids are going to school next week. That is great.

Guess what guys???? I received text that my EAD card was delivered by USPS so at 8:54 I went to the mailbox and I got my EAD card in hand :dance:

and our internet bill too lol :rofl:

I made a copy right away and took a picture of the card :rofl:

Got my EAD today....:)

Wow, he has to take a road test too? Now THAT sucks! Better prepare him... in CA if you don't drive like an a$$hole you're gonna get killed out there. I held off from driving like that as long as I could, but eventually you have to drive like everyone else.

Wow, he has to take a road test too? Now THAT sucks! Better prepare him... in CA if you don't drive like an a$$hole you're gonna get killed out there. I held off from driving like that as long as I could, but eventually you have to drive like everyone else.

Yep, road test too. He's been driving the whole time he's been here, but we weren't sure if it was legal so he only drives when it's really necessary. He hasn't gone on the freeway much. I guess that's the biggest difference between here and where he's from. Before coming here, he'd never been on a freeway with more than 2 lanes in each direction. And he's certainly never experienced anything like our on/off ramps, which are really quite stupid.

But yeah, he's way too mellow a driver for here. He lets everyone go ahead of him, drives the speed limit, stops for pedestrians...what's he thinking?? :P
