I honestly think the IO couldn't care less.

Don't over think the interview, it's really not a big deal.

Maybe I'm just worrying too much coz 17 days from we'll have our interview the day before your appt yaaayyy...

My husband is not even bother about the interview but I do :(

Don't worry about it. I was more nervous when I mailed the package to the point where I got my interview notice. I'm as calm as ever now and still haven't put my stuff together for the interview.. I'm more focused on finding a part time job and starting school

Guess what guys???? I received text that my EAD card was delivered by USPS so at 8:54 I went to the mailbox and I got my EAD card in hand :dance:

and our internet bill too lol :rofl:

I made a copy right away and took a picture of the card :rofl:

Do you think its better to apply for SSN first before everything????

and I heard too that you have to wait 10 days upon receiving EAD before you can apply for SSN?

I think thats a good sign thats our husband not worrying about this it means they're confident about it :)

But they're better not to forget all important dates about relationship or else we will kick they're #### lol

I don't really care about the GC, the EAD is all that matters.

Why do you need a GC for a DL? When I moved to the US, I went into the local DMV, handed them my Ontario license, and they handed me a KS license. No exam, nothing.

@msGore. Yes you need a SSN before you can apply for a DL..so I would suggest to do that first. I already have both, I just need my GC to remove restrictions.

@IPv6Freely lucky you! I had to do the written and road test before I could get mine because I've never had a DL before. My first one was probationary for 2yrs like the greencard..lol. then after I renew it and got a 10 yrs...:)

Why do you need a GC for a DL? When I moved to the US, I went into the local DMV, handed them my Ontario license, and they handed me a KS license. No exam, nothing.

No I meant I need GC for SSN without restriction right??? coz i been in SSN forum they said it is recommended to wait at least 2weeks prior to receiving EAD before applying for SSN so I was thinking just to wait for my GC before applying my interview is 3 wks away though...

It doesn't work that way in California. I'm sitting in the DMV right now waiting for my husband to take his written test. They don't seem to care that he has a Canadian DL.

Ah that sucks. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it was in Kansas that I got my license, and in a small town at that.

I do know that going the other direction, Ontario will give you a full G when you "trade-in" your US license. This amuses me, since I only ever made it to G2 before moving to the US. :rofl:

Though it's worth mentioning that when I moved from KS to CA, I had to take the written also. I think they just make everyone do it.
