Today must be the day for the EAD notices because... I got THE email too! So I'm waiting for that in the mail now, and for my interview too. Exciting week!!! And then I can notify my future employer and I can sign a contract!

So I was filling up the blanks in my timeline, and it took 70 days to be approved. Right in the average then I guess!

EAD received in the mail today.

It's funny because on Fri, 8-10-2012 USCIS reported the EAD was picked up by USPS.

Now the long wait for the GC since our I-485 was transferred to CSC.

Does this mean that you will not get an interview? If yes do you know why?

@ selah and @mrsGORE... my local office is in mt.laurel nj... i dont think there slow coz i got my interview date early from filing date... i cant wait o apply for ssn...

Yeah Obama passed it couple months ago. I don't think it makes any sense because illegals can stay here, work and pay taxes but cannot leave the country? Work permit expires in 2 years and is renewable. Fee is damn near 500 bucks and there's hundreds of thousands illegal immigrants who are in this country right now. Sad part is you have to come here before you turn 16, u have to be under 31, u have to attend high school and currently enrolled? How much is that gonna benefit? I can't wait to get the opportunity to vote.... IMHO, I just think their immigration system needs fixing. ALL ABOUT THE MONEY I GUESS...

Trefletatoo, if we're lucky we won't get an interview but there's the possibility that CSC could transfer the case back to our local office and then we'd get an interview. Our I485 was probably transferred to CSC because our local office, St Louis, is so far behind in processing applications. According to USCIS, it was transferred "in order to speed up processing". Unfortunately it's taking CSC a long time and those of you with a scheduled interview will probably have your GC before us.

I feel you on the ssn I want one too. D: I know that I got my EAD notice when I got closer to my interview date maybe yours will do something similar. If you fill out a timeline you can get an approximate when you might be approved. Mine said anywhere between August 17th to August 20th and I got my first notice on August 11th. The average seems about 70ish days. I know you can complain when 90 days have passed. How many days has it been for you?

Arent you adjusting from K-1? That would be the reason why your case was transfered to CSC. Most likely you wont have an interview.

Most K-1 folks doing adjustment of status don't get interviews if they are transferred to CSC. Not everyone gets transfer and some people still get the interviews. Maybe Immigration doesn't think they need to be interviewed twice?

Pretty sure Trefle isn't K-1 but I could be wrong.
