I say try to expedite it never hurts to try. Worse thing they can do is say no to expediting it.

We have applied for the I-485, I-765 and I-131.

Johanna has had her biometrics appointment on july 16 2012 and completed.

When coming home from that biometrics there was a letter in postbox from Department of Homeland Security Notice date: july 10 2012:

This is to advice you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing : California Service Center

I just got mail and my I 130 got transfer to USCIS-NBC, PO Box 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064.

Is it good or bad?

April 3rd 2012: I 130 send to Chicago

May 16th 2012: I 485, I 765, I 131 send by USPS priority mail at the Chicago lockbox

May 18th 2012: AOS received and signed by D.Colonna at 2:18pm at Chicago

June 4th 2012: got my all package return, restarting from level zero again :((((

June 6th 2012 Wednesday (day 0): Info pass and resend the whole package by USPS express mail at the chicago lockbox

June 7th 2012 Thursday (day 1) : package received and signed by Arturo B at 11:45 am

June 19th 2012 Tuesday (day 12): text notification that application was received by USCIS

June 20th 2012 Wednesday (day 13): check was cashed

That's where it goes when you file concurrently. Since you filed your petition first, it was at a different office so they had to transfer it to NBC to process your case....

haha very true. I have to wonder though if country of origin plays any part in it. With how comparatively easy it is for Canadians to get work visas, I wonder if Nikki wouldn't be the best timeline to compare my own to. At least, that's what I'll hope for ;)

Edit: Actually, Selah is from Canada and already has an interview date also (though filed a few weeks before me). Seems to be trend lately of people getting their interview before their EAD!

I know your local office does play a part. So how busy it is would depend on how fast you get your notice. I'm unsure if that is the only factor involved though. However I bet we'll start to see a lot more people getting interview notices soon. :)
