Congrats! but just one question, why it took sooo long?

The reason why it took so long is because of the following:

1. We got and RFE on the I-129F petition because I did not answer one question. That "small" mistake cost us 60 more days of waiting before we got the NOA2. :wacko:

2. After waiting for a few weeks, I called the embassy in Laos inquiring if they received our petition. They said they did not receive it yet. I happened to be in Laos at the time, so I personally went to the embassy inquiring about the petition. I had went online to DHL.com and got the waybill number and the last name of the embassy officer who had signed for the package. I gave the embassy this information. After waiting over and hour, they told me they had found the file. :wacko: They then gave me Packet 3 along with instructions. Me and my fiancee filled out the DS forms at that time.

3. Due to some Laos holidays, my fiancee did not get her medical exam until a month later along with the vaccinations. She passed and she got all the rest of the necessary evidence that was required for the embassy and turned everything in to them.

4. Again, because of Laos new year, we did not get our interview until a month later(may 10th). She passed her interview but I forgot to sign my name on the I-134 Affidavit of support :wacko::wow: I had to prepare 2 original affidavits along with other evidence that the interviewing officer requested of me. Two weeks later, I sent everything to my fiancee. Yesterday, May 25th, she went to the embassy in Laos and presented the evidence. After 3 1/2 hours of waiting, she got approved for the visa :dance: Visa pickup date is June 1st :D

So, as you can see, it is of the upmost importance to triple check everything and anything before sending it to immigration! I wish you and yours the very best as you traverse through your visa journey :yes:
