How to renew DL in FL

Hello fellow vj'ers...

I have a question regarding the renewal of my dl. I has already expired along with my I-94. We have already filed our AOS two weeks ago. My question is, what the possible docs I need to renew my dl. I have read somewhere in the forum that just showing the I-797 that acknowledges you petition for AOS, they can grant you 1 year for your lisc.. Please correct me if I'm wrong or any experience you can share is greatly appreciated.

Hi. I just got my DL here in FL as well. Thank god I had a nice person at the dmv.

I needed my I-797 to proof I applied for status, ssn, passport and proof of resident.I'm not on our apartment lease yet it was fine to show the lease and bills in my husbands name, have to show ur marriage certificate. That's it and paid like 50something bucks. Hope it all works for you

Wow that's really a good news for you tinchen! I have a stupid question though, I have the I-797 stating a biometric appointment for both AOS & EAC, will they honor it? Or is it the same I-797 you showed them?

i showed them my I797 the receipt notice for the I485 (AOS) i applied to. thats all they wanted to see. just that i applied for it.

hi jay&kate yeah my I94 was already expired. just show them the things i listed above and it should work. most of them dont know anything about that at the dmv or tax collector so have a lot of patience with them lol heheheheh
