Hi, I'm helping Fadhil & Nora with their paperwork. Found this website & just started to fill in their timeline.

On 1/23/12, sent the I-129F Original Submission.

Received the I-797C, Notice of Action, dated 1/31/12, which noted Rejection Notice. We sent TOO MUCH MONEY!

IS THIS CONSIDERED THE NOA1?

On 2/7/12, we mailed the I-129F Corrected Submission with the correct amount $340.

Received I-797C, Notice of Action, dated 2/14/12, which noted "Receipt".

Is this considered the NOA2?

Thanks,

Jena

No, both are NOA1. As noted, it's a receipt notice that they have your petition. For creating a timeline, use the 2/14 date to get an estimate on when the petition will be adjudicated.

Part One: The K-1 Visa Journey:

USCIS Receipt of I-129F: January 24, 2012 | Petition Approval: June 15, 2012 (No RFEs)
Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review

AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

Part Three: Removal of Conditions:

It sounds to me like this is your first NOA1 since the previous one was rejected for not sending in the correct amount of money.

wow, i did the same thing a few months ago. i sent in too much money. but you know, i just went back and sent the correct amount of money to them and put the paper they told me to put on top of the stack there as i returned it all in again. they told me the paper to put on top will give my package priority filing. i was so glad to know that. but all you have to do is to send it back in as they shipped it to you with the new amount of money and it will be fine. you will get another NOA1 again. then you just do your timeline and the waiting begans.lol. you will be okay. i remember i freaked out when that happened until i called them.

Is this considered the NOA2? NO, that is NOA1. Form I-797 (notice the absence of the "c" suffix, that is the key) is the NOA2 you will now be waiting to receive in ~ 4-6 months, barring any other self-inflicted delays or RFEs.

Thanks,

Jena

OK, at the risk of offending someone here, how on earth did you send in too much money? The amount needed is pretty clearly written on the I-129F instructions. If anything I could see sending too LITTLE, maybe you used an old form with an older amount...

Or did the price drop or something?
