You can buy whatever tickets you want. It does not matter.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

In regards to flights you can buy one-way or return tickets. Often return tickets are cheaper and can provide a way for your spouse to go home and visit after she has settled; it is really what is best for you and your soon to be wife!

That is regional. You should check the Philippine form for that information. They have quite a lot of questions pertaining to CFO and quite a lot of info listed.

A lot of people on here will not even know what "CFO" is . It is best to check out the regional forum and ask there : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/.

This link might be similarly helpful: http://www.cfo.gov.ph/

I browsed (quickly) the phillipines forums , this also might be helfpul (though it may not as I just read the title of the question and a few answers) : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/124719-cfo-philippines/

Good luck and congratulations!

You can buy a round trip or one way ticket. Whichever one is cheaper but she can not leave the USA after arriving on a K-1 Visa. Next time she will be able to leave the borders of the United States, is when she has received the approved EAD AP combo card. That will be 3 - 4 months from filing the I-485 with I-131 and I-765.

CFO Seminar can be taken at anytime after receiving the MNL Case Number. I advise reading some of the recent CFO experiences. If she does the CFO Seminar early. They will only give the certificates. She will need to return to CFO with the approved Visa and Passport to receive the CFO Sticker.

Be advised CFO has ramped up on it " other required documents "!! These are not listed on the websites and are requested at the discretion of the Consular. Again read up on some the recent CFO experiences her in the Philippines section or just search CFO.

Never said she could leave straight away! :bonk:

Technically anytime after they have arrived on a K-1 and then leave they have left after arriving on K-1, make sense? So your statement "can not leave the USA after arriving on a K-1 Visa. " is incorrect.

His spouse will have to wait for AP before leaving , yes, but your first statement is not entirely correct, Wally G!

To recap-

Buy whichever is cheaper.

You cannot leave the US until you at least have AP.

You can use your round-trip ticket after you have AP.

If you leave before AP you will not be allowed back in.

Correction: She can leave the U.S. before she has her AP or her green card. However, if she leaves before she has her AP or her green card, she won't be allowed back into the U.S. on her K-1.

PS...Play it safe and complete the CFO process as soon as she has her visa. Doing the CFO at the last minute is taking a big gamble.
