I have a question my wife just received her employment authorization card and I need to know what the next step is that we need to do? Do we go to social security office to get her a social security number? and can I also get her name changed to my last name..Thank you so much for all your help.

You should have filed the AOS paperwork in her married name if you wanted to change it. You'll have to file an I90 after you get her GC to change the name now.

But yes go to the SSA and get a SSN. She can start looking for work now. Many paces will hire you w/o a SSN but you won't get paid until you have one.

If she doesn't have her SSN already then yes go to the SS office and get it.

She should only need her marriage certificate to change her last name to her married name. Hopefully you applied for AOS EAD etc in the married name not the maiden name.
