Just received this from USCIS because our case is over the time limit we submitted a inquiry into the status. This is what they replied with which as far as I can tell gives me no information as to the actual status or why it is out side the normal processing times. It has been 8 months since our NOA 1.

Time to call my congressman?

Unfortunately, CSC as well as VSC is currently slow, I saw some threads here and there of members getting approved after 7 month, a member is still waiting for 9 months and counting.

By the time I applied at CSC it was faster than now(seriously). The response you received for your request is a typical one letting you know that they are behind and that your petition will be processed in order relative to the other petitions.

If you want to contact your congressman or senator it wont hurt, I doubt in a case like that it will help , since the delay apperantly is due to workload rather than anything else.

I would call USCIS and talk to an immigration officer to have a deeper insight about your case.

I hope you hear something soon.

Yeah, then why didn't they just say that. To me that response says nothing more than we understand why you inquired and the problems it causes when we take too long.
