Hello,

I have just received my EAD. Do I now go and update my SSN? Or should I wait until I have my AOS interview on 31st May?

I am not sure which order I should be doing everything please? I'd like to start working soon so can I just show them my EAD immediately or does the SSN have to be adjusted too before I can?

thank you!

If you want to remove "Valid only with etc, etc..." statement from your SS card, you will have to wait for your GC to do that.

If the change is about your name, you can do it now based on marriage license.

You need an EAD + SSN to work.

You change your SSN with a green card not an EAD.

So, if you have your EAD but no SSN. Go down to the office and get your SSN.

If you have your EAD and SSN then go look for a job.

When you get your green card you then go to the SS office and have the words on the SSN removed.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.
