When I was filing the form 156, question 22 asked when do I Intend to arrive in the US. I wasn't sure but I knew it would be either 2nd or 3rd week of August.

I wanted to simply put August, 2012 but electronic 156 didn't allow me to put only month and year. (Korea now uses only electronic 156)

So I put Aug 15, 2012.

Now I'm trying to buy a ticket and looks like I have to fly on 14th.

Is this going to be a problem at the POE or greencard process?

NO, it won't be a problem.

We did the same thing. We had no idea when my fiancee would be flying over so we just threw a dart at August.

I don't believe the folks at your POE will even know what you put on the 156.

Edit:

PS: That was August 2011 and I believe we actually put Aug 25th. on the form.

We left it blank and it wasn't an issue. The form says "Provide specific date if known". How could I know since my visa wasn't approved yet?

Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
