How accurate was the timeline estimation for you?

Timeline

Just been browsing some timelines and love the fact that using the data from different VJ users, this site can give an estimation date range of NOA2 approvals. Obviously there are many factors at play which will cause the estimations to be inaccurate, but was wondering how many people actually did get their NOA2 within the dates estimated by the site? :D

AOS Timeline

7th Oct 2013 - Mailed I-485 package

15th Oct 2013 - NOA1 hard copy

4th Nov 2013 - RFE

8th Nov 2013 - Biometrics

13th Jan 2014 - USCIS confirmed receipt of returned RFE evidence

27th Jan 2014 - Received EAD card

Feb 2014 - Received potential interview waiver letter

19th July 2014 - AOS approved, green card in production :D

I got it a bit sooner!

I was caught off guard and unprepared for it with my work schedule....in fact, I used up vacation time visiting him thinking we were a few months away and when I got home the noa was in tbe mail lol ..

Got mine about 2 1/2 weeks earlier than predicted by the VJ software. But it was pretty much in line with the time that I'd guessed based on how "hot" VSC was working and the pace of approvals I was seeing here on VJ. It was looking like a 3 month processing time and mine was approved in 3.5 months.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

I got mine several weeks after the estimate.

I got mine right around when it said I would - a few days early! I think it's a great estimation tool :)

The worst part though was seeing it fluctuate!

It's a good for vague estimation but it is not accurate at all. Always expect to wait longer than it says. :)

Edit: This goes for USCIS estimated timeframes too!

Interesting point about the fluctuation. When I first filled in my timeline in late January, the estimate was for me to receive my NOA2 by 20 May. Then it slowly got pushed back until it was showing 7 Jun for the most recent estimate. And I received the NOA2 on 22 May, just 2 days later than the original estimate.

May your visa journey be smooth and speedy.

We got our NOA2 at 147days, three days shy of the USCIS estimate of 5 months, and about five days after the VJ site estimate.

YMMV

So, from the responses so far, most people actually got theirs earlier than the estimation - interesting!

(I know it's completely case by case, but this was just a spur of the moment poll for the sake of it :))
