Hi I got my GC a few days ago. It has a mistake on my middke name. They mistook one "E" with "A". Anyway it's a minor mistake.

I have go home for a few days for a very urgent matter. I have to be home on Monday. Which means I have to leave the USA on Sunday. I can't get an infopass appointment before that. Can I use my GC to travel and then file for the replacement when I'm back?

Any advice is welcome.

July 2nd 2006: Marriage ceremony

Oct 10th 2006:Received Green Card

REMOVING CONDITIONS

August 12th 2008: Sent I 751 to CSC

Dec 5th 2008: Green Card in the mail

NATURALIZATION

Dec 4th: Sent N 400

March 18th: Interview

May 24th 2011: Oath in Minneapolis. Journey is over.

Does your passport have your middle name?

Can't advise you whether to travel or not, but if you do, I would raise the issue at the US consulate in your home country.

9/4/06 - AOS package accepted at Chicago

9/11/06 - ND AOS package

9/14/06 - NOA AOS, AP and EAD

9/16/06 - Biometrics letter received

9/18/06 - All touched

9/19/06 - AP and EAD touched

9/20/06 - RFE notice by email (verify income and employment)

Does your passport have your middle name?

Can't advise you whether to travel or not, but if you do, I would raise the issue at the US consulate in your home country.

My passport has my middle name. And the A# on the GC is the same as the one on my k1 visa inside the passport.

My wife's Green Card has her middle name mis-spelled by 1 letter. She's traveled out of the country and back without receiving any question or comment about it. We've decided to let it ride and not request a corrected card.

If you want to be 100% sure go and see USCIS , get advanced parole

AP is not appropriate after approval of permanent residence.

My wife's GC was incorrect as well and we have already started the I-90 process to take care of this. Upon approval my wife received a stamp for the I-551 (GC approval) in her passport and my understanding is she can travel on that stamp which is good for one year.

Is that gonna raise issue when she decides to remove conditions? And didshe have her Social security card changed without a problem?
