We sent off our package today. I am happy to get that off our To Do list. Our only concern is we have a trip to Italy planned the first 2 weeks of August. Hopefully, we won't have a biometerics appt during that time.

Small good news ... Had sent our package via priority mail/signature confirmation yesterday and looks like someone from uscis signed for the package today! Cant make out the person's name but did see uscis :)

Going to keep a look out for the check being cashed next!

When does the time clock start for the N-400 Naturalization process as far as number of years in the United States? Does the 3 more years start after they approve our I-751? or is it total 5 years in the US that make you eligible to file the N-400? July 2012 my wife will have been in the US for 3 years now. Thanks.

When does the time clock start for the N-400 Naturalization process as far as number of years in the United States? Does the 3 more years start after they approve our I-751? or is it total 5 years in the US that make you eligible to file the N-400? July 2012 my wife will have been in the US for 3 years now. Thanks.

It begins from the approval date of your 2 year Green card. The earliest date that you can file for N-400 is 90 days before your 3 year anniversary of your permanent residence.

I received the NOA yesterday, when I tried checking the status online with my receipt # it says the # is incorrect

Yes, if you read the entire letter, right at the bottom it says that you should use the number found on your Biometrics letter. I was guilty of this also.. :)

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)
