Got the text today that GC is in production. Finalllllly!! I'm going to make an appointment for May, though, because our trip to Morocco is in June and I don't want to monkey around waiting for the card in case it doesn't come. I'll cancel it once we get the green card. Best of luck to all those still waiting...

Congrats Justine+David :dance: !!

I just noticed we missed to update this road417king's RFE... So, updating :)

We just got an RFE dated 2/19/2013, and all the stuff they're asking for that we can actually provide was already submitted with the application. Things we can't provide would be a lease or mortage with her name because I bought the house before we met. We have no joint credit cards but we have joint bank accounts and we provided original letters from the credit unions (two of them) attesting to that fact. I provided medical, life and car insurance documents, I provided copies of actual tax forms, I provided affidavits. What the hell? <sigh>

Anyone else have this experience? How did you handle it?

Annuntio vobis gaudium magnum! Habemus Green Card!

Last friday I went home and my wife showed me a mail coming from the USCIS: I must admit that I was a bit worried to open it, also because we had a RFE.

Well, the March 26th my petition has been approved and the day after I received the green card in the mail!

See all of you in September when I will start the naturalization process! :)

Gratz! :) It's such a relief after having to deal with an RFE.

Last friday I went home and my wife showed me a mail coming from the USCIS: I must admit that I was a bit worried to open it, also because we had a RFE.

Well, the March 26th my petition has been approved and the day after I received the green card in the mail!

See all of you in September when I will start the naturalization process! :)

Today, Maria and I received our I-797, Notice of Action letter in the mail with "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved...." Date of decision was 04/08/2013. I am surprised we did not get an SMS text message... we were worried because of the RFE.

Please update our entry. Thank you and best wishes for everyone.

Btw, Maria's admission date shows 09/02/2010 so does that mean she is eligible to apply for naturalization N-400 on 09/02/2013?

My wife received her GC card today 4/20! Happy Happy! :dance:

We updated our VJ timeline so not sure why the Removing Conditions still shows (pending).

Today, Maria and I received our I-797, Notice of Action letter in the mail with "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved...." Date of decision was 04/08/2013. I am surprised we did not get an SMS text message... we were worried because of the RFE.

Please update our entry. Thank you and best wishes for everyone.

Btw, Maria's admission date shows 09/02/2010 so does that mean she is eligible to apply for naturalization N-400 on 09/02/2013?
