Hi Viber,

Your NOA is June 7, 2012 therefore you are beyond posted processing times which is June 8 https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do

For instance my NOA date is May 31 (7 day early than yours) and I was able to make e-Request by USCIS website yesterday. Just go to USCIS website where you Check Your Case Status https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do and on the left side of the screen click “e-Request”.

“e-Request is a (USCIS) web-based tool that allows you to place an inquiry with USCIS… You may make an inquiry on selected forms that are beyond posted processing times…”

Hi,

I was not aware of this, and thank you for letting me know. Have you heard anything regarding your request? Anybody else on this forum who has used this feature? What does USCIS do to such a request?

Hi,

I was not aware of this, and thank you for letting me know. Have you heard anything regarding your request? Anybody else on this forum who has used this feature? What does USCIS do to such a request?

I have just made the e-Request yesterday and I have immediately received the confirmation e-mail:

“Confirmation Your e-Request confirmation number is: XXXXXXXXCSC for Form I751 and reported issue of: Beyond Posted Processing Times.

You have successfully submitted an inquiry to USCIS. You can expect to receive a response within 30 days. If you do not receive a response within 30 days, please call USCIS Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TTY). You will need to provide the confirmation number listed above when you call. “

This is Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) No FEAR Act Website Policies Privacy Policy Accessibility.

E-Request is working like Customer service enquiry which they make when you call to Customer Service. The CSR will give you confirmation number. I made the enquiry/inquiry during my AOS process.

E-Request is electronic inquiry which you can make by Internet.

Me thinks I'll get processed in a couple of months. Just trying to keep busy in the meantime.

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

Had hubby call the day of my rant and they put in a Service Request, on the third call, after incorrect information from the first two operators who incorrectly assumed we were with VSC instead of CSC.

It baffles me that as his wife I can make end of life pull-the-plug type of decisions yet they cannot give me info regarding the status of his ROC...

Yep! It appears as though life and death decisions are less important than this deal! Lol...hope you will hear good news soon and the rest of us too. I just can't keep myself from checking here on a daily basis now although I registered for their notification. It's like sitting on fire!

Card received 02-07-2013. The rest will have theirs soon, not to worry. We contacted our Congressman 2 weeks before we got our approval but we are not sure if that helped really since we never received a communication from the congressman's office.

Life is beautiful!

Well according to the USPS tracking, we were supposed to have Salah's green card yesterday. The tracking said it left Greensboro Friday night, but there's nothing after that. I called our local post office and he said it should have been scanned here Saturday morning and sent out to be delivered. He told me to call back tomorrow afternoon if it didn't show up. After reading all the horror stories about how you have to pay $450 to get your card reprinted even if it's not our fault it's missing, we are definitely freaking out :crying: I know it's early to be thinking about it being lost in the mail, but I get the feeling it is

Don't worry. Uscis doesn't send it next day air. They send it priority mail. You won't get it before Monday. And USPS website doesn't update immediately. I would give it till tomorrow. Mine was picked up on a Friday and then I got it on Monday at my po box.

Well just saw this when I checked my case status at the USCIS: Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives.

I know it says "When filed" but I'm going to assume that it's whenever there's any kind of change on a case, since that seems to be the norm with me.

Well, we got an RFE, not completely unexpected considering our marriage doesn't fit into the cute little mold that USCIS wants it to. We don't have joint bank accounts because we deal with our money separately since hubby is self-employed. Mortgage is in my name only because I owned it long before we were married. We file taxes separately because mine are easy and I get a big refund, and his are difficult since he still has income from the UK and we have to factor in the US tax treaty with Great Britain.

We sent in bills, and drivers licenses with the same address, car insurance with him as a covered driver, medical insurance from my job that shows he is covered, and a letter from a mutual friend. We really don't have much else, but just because we haven't co-mingled our finances, it doesn't mean we don't have a real marriage. Perhaps I should send in pictures of the 5000 coffee cups he uses and I have to collect from around the house everyday...

So, hopefully there will be an interview. Worse case scenario, I expect them to start removal proceedings at which point we will go in front of the judge and flip USCIS one great big bird with each hand.

We are older. We had lives before getting married, at 42 years old I have absolutely no intention of having more children...apparently USCIS thinks everyone should be twenty-something's, just getting started, and doing everything together, rather than older adults who had lives previously and didn't feel the need to contact every utility company in a household that had been established for years prior to the marriage, to have everything changed to be in both names.

Oh well, bring it on USCIS, I'm feeling feisty today...

Edited to avoid beatings from the grammar-police...

I will be happy to keep everyone updated. I am not in the least bit worried that he will be forced to leave, after all, the burden of proof is on USCIS, and we have most definitely been married and slept in the same bed every night since he landed. USCIS would have the burden of proving a negative, which they cannot do, hello, we are married, regardless of what our finances look like...

I'm hoping for an interview, but if it comes to Removal Proceedings, I just hope it happens before his green card expires, otherwise he can't work! I'm really not too worried.
