Hello everyone,

I finally got a interview at the embassy in jordan for my I-129F, but I am not scheduled until 6-17-07. This is devasting news. Does anyone have any advise how to make my interview earlier? Jordan embassy is soooo slow, I though a fiance visa was supposed to be faster than the spouse visa.

any advise???

Well, unforunately, some embassies are slower than others. While not as bad as Jordan (apparently), interviews for Montreal are taking 3-4 months from the date of Packet 3 receipt.

I think interview date changes are done on a case by case basis. So if you have a reason that is specific (sayyyyyyyyy, your fiance has a terminal illness or something) it might work. But if your only reason is, "we want the visa faster" I doubt that'll work. Becuase truthfully...everyone wants their visa faster.

I would be devasted too! The There is an expiration date at 4 months, but the consulate can renew that for another 4 months giving them up to 8 months for the interview. I'm sure they took this into consideration when scheduling the interview, but maybe not? who knows what is in the mindas of the embassay. Is this length normal for k-1 processing through Jordan? Ther are otehrs here processing throug the same consualte hopefully they can give you clarification there. Have you used the VJ timeline search? If not specifically limit the search for this consulate and time between NOA2 and interview and see what results you get. Maybe it will give you some support information if you contact the consulate.

Good luck I know the waiting is difficult! (F)
