So gals I'm looking for a) modest maternity clothes that are dressy enough for me to wear to work and B) some nice caftans, one for Eid and maybe another just for other functions. Please let me know if you all have links. ALSO I NEED NEED NEED new scarfs I'm so sick of the ones I have and I want something new. But not something too plain - cute patterned ones, colorful that sort of thing. Also nothing too expensive (i'm cheap lol). I would love to buy a nice caftan and surprise my husband. So send the links!!!

Just my area

For all your modest clothing needs, check this directory.

Maternity clothes, especially this site. But, paroos the directory, and maybe you'll find something you like :)

I'm not too familiar with places that sell Moroccan style caftans. Most of my abayas are more ME/NA generic, and come from Sadeja International

Most of the scarves I've bought online have come from Al Hannah. In fact, I'm wearing one today that was from the first batch I bought 4 years ago. If you're building a hijab collection, I recommend investing in a few solid color scarves like these - black, white, navy (although many colors aren't in stock at the moment, email and ask when they'll get more in). Plain colors go with more than patterned, and they look a bit more professional. But, still get a few bright ones. My favorite is a hot pink shayla my husband got for me for my birthday last year. The boy has taste

I have also ordered some underscarves and arm sleeves from Al-Muminat. They have pretty looking scarves that I would order, except I think I've reached my limit (ie no more room in the closet, drawers or on my special scarf holder. I'm a bit of a scarf hound).

And, for my professional clothing needs, I shop Shukr. Although they're a bit pricey, their quality is excellent.

There is a site that sells the same (exact) clothes as shukr but a lot cheaper. I'm not home now and I can't remember the name of it so I can't find the link.... :( If no one knows what I'm talking about and posts it before I get home I'll post it tonight inshallah.

 They sell the exact same clothes as shukr because they copy shukr's clothing, and steal shukr's pictures from their webpage. If you're going to knock off someone's clothes, at least have the decency to take pictures of your own work, and not pass of someone else's clothes as your own. I know I can vouch for the quality of the clothing at shukr, and that the products I receive are the same as the picture. I can't say that for the other site.

I ordered from shukr and al farah on the same day a while back and both packages came within a day of each other so both ship quickly.

I also can't tell the difference between the shukr clothes and the al farah clothes as far as quality.

The picks on their website advertise clothes on manequins (sp?) and shukr doesn't use those as far as I've seen.

I don't think it's 'knock offs' so much as honest competition.

Ahh, I thought you meant BarakAllah, which does have Shukr pictures on their website and now even sells them for the exact same price as Shukr. Check it - Exhibit A vs.Exhibit B. We just had a huge discussion about BarakAllah on a hijab group I'm on, and several sisters ended up contacting both Shukr and the knock off site to find out what was up. The people who run BarakAllah won't answer questions about why they have Shukr pictures, etc. Shukr runs their own factory in Syria and designs and produces all their own clothing, so it's not like they have the same supplier or anything.

Al Farah sells similar clothes, but not the exact same ones :) Several of my friends have ordered from them and have been very happy with their quality

Ok I didn't realize there was this other site.... when I said the exact same thing I didn't mean literally  just that they are pretty much the same thing.

Amera, some of the blouses at Shukr might work well for you. I wear a size XL there now ( ), if you want to compare to what size you might need.

I think its gonna take forever to spend this which is surprising because if it was my money and not a giftcard I would have easiely spent $200 today.:lol:
