Thank you God. I have been waiting for this day for ever. I got my petition approved on Monday but i just received my email this morning!! So excited! The only problem is that I just started working on Monday too:) I am going to be receiving $400 weekly which sums up to $19,200 yearly but on my previous tax returns, I was making less than $15,000. Does anyone know if this will be a problem?

congrats that's a big step now just be prepared to deal with those idiots at the visa center you will need patients just make copies and have originals of everything you should be ok, but regarding your financial problem just get a co-signer thats it no worries.

Congratulation.....

I would Consider you to be a LUCKY to get NOA2 within 4 months from CSS. I dont know the general trend to get NOA2 from CSS at this time, but when I was on USCIS phase, CSS was way behind to approve I -130 petition.Petitioners were started to get their NOA2 around 6 - 7 months and believe me waiting every singel day after official time frame ( 5 months) is rough and stressful compare to be within time frame.

Dont take what Pushbrk said on Negative Way...thats the FACT....Technically you are in and can sponsor your spouse ( $18912.5 yearly for household for 2 vs $ 20,800 your income for 2012). But remember whatever the reason ( being at school), you dont have good working history, did not make money for the first quater of 2012 (4 months)and your income is in the boder line as per what says in AOS.

So, if possible, I also suggest to find strong Joint sponsor.....

I dont want to take away your EXCITMENT :dance::dance: but there is more steps to GO....Good luck....:thumbs::thumbs:

I understand I did take what he told me intro strong consideration. The problem is I don't have anyone to be my co-sponsor. My brother in law has a great income but he has a very bad record. I am going to write a letter stating why my income wasn't alot since i was in school and attach my school paperwork as back up. I am also going to get a letter from my employer stating my yearly salary. I just have to hope that I present my case very well because at this point there isn't much I can do. Thanks either way.

As long as he doesn't have an IRS lien, it is your brother in-law's income that will carry the day. They don't do a background check on a joint sponsor and his credit rating is not an issue.

He owes money to the IRS for claiming kids that weren't his on his 2010 and 2011 tax returns and also has an arrest warrant. So, I'm guessing that will be an issue. I know people who are unwilling to provide their tax information and bank statements so there is no definate way of getting them as a sponsor.

Don't guess. Ask if he has an IRS lien, specifically. If the answer is no, then the rest is a non-issue regarding qualification to sponsor. Just owing money does not mean he has a lien.
