Current income is what qualifies you as sponsor, so you meet the minimum requirements for a household of two. While NOT meeting the minimum assures you don't qualify, simply meeting the minimum does not assure you DO qualify.

By the way, 400 a week times 52 weeks = 20,800, not 19,200.

Do you know the minumum requirement for three dependents? I will have my wife and two children joining me later this year hopefully?

Congratulations and before this gets totally confusing let's clarify.

For AOS if you are sponsoring on your income its just you and husband.

And as stated you can not add your income to mom and dads. If they sponsor husband (its just him they are adding) its mom, dad, sis, and bro + husband that's 5 and sorry I am on phone and don't know what that magic 125% is for 5.

Okay I think that's it. And as stated you being right at the line almost (or was that like $20000 u would make?) You may or may not be okay. Its a judgment call as Pushbrk has stated.

Also I would have a coverletter an explanation that you were in school and you just got this job. Can't hurt.

So I would weight my options parents sponsor they claim 5 or you sponsor and claim 2. Or heck do both right. Just to be sure. Hope this helps. :D

It's actually 6 not 5 (Mom, Dad, brother, 2 X sister, and husband). See my earlier post, I made a mistake and didn't realise there were 3 sisters. Her parent's don't meet the 125% for the affidavit of support, so she can't use them as co-sponsors.

The person is excited, give them a break, no need to sit there and criticize their math. Your post is unbelievably uncalled for and i've seen others just like it from you also. Take it easy.

So, you would rather find out that meeting the minimum assures nothing AFTER a visa is denied at interview? That would make you feel better? What if the mistake in arithmetic made the difference? My purpose is to help people be successful in the visa process by knowing what the facts REALLY are. I'll leave it to others to do the cheer-leading.

Unless you can find a qualified joint sponsor, it looks like you'll need to paint the best picture you can and hope for the best. Your real income looks a lot better than your miscalculation.

Congratulation.....

I would Consider you to be a LUCKY to get NOA2 within 4 months from CSS. I dont know the general trend to get NOA2 from CSS at this time, but when I was on USCIS phase, CSS was way behind to approve I -130 petition.Petitioners were started to get their NOA2 around 6 - 7 months and believe me waiting every singel day after official time frame ( 5 months) is rough and stressful compare to be within time frame.

Dont take what Pushbrk said on Negative Way...thats the FACT....Technically you are in and can sponsor your spouse ( $18912.5 yearly for household for 2 vs $ 20,800 your income for 2012). But remember whatever the reason ( being at school), you dont have good working history, did not make money for the first quater of 2012 (4 months)and your income is in the boder line as per what says in AOS.

So, if possible, I also suggest to find strong Joint sponsor.....

I dont want to take away your EXCITMENT :dance::dance: but there is more steps to GO....Good luck....:thumbs::thumbs:
