ASC Appointment sent by mistake?!

I got an ASC appointment today asking me to visit one of the support centers to have my fingerprints retaken. According to the letter "The FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card....blah blah"

I called USCIS right away and I was told that this was a mistake and that I can just ignore or send the letter back to them attaching the 2 year green card welcome letter as well as note saying "I've already done my biometrics, please update your record." I am planning to send the letter back to them and create a paper trail, just in case.

I have yet to file my renewal together with my husband in the next 5 months and I don't want this to be the cause of the delay.

Anyone else in this situation? :help:
