hi, the urine test should be done at your medical appointment. And your medical appointment should be been made after you received your interview date.

My daughter and I did our medical on January 22, 2020. We had a 8am appointment, we got there after 7 and there were persons waiting. We were all ask to form one line, while a man (the officer) stood at the door ticking off names as we went inside with a number. We got number 16, we were then ask to take out our 4 passport size photos, (4 for each applicant), the interview letter, immunization records, our passports and the medical form, if you did not print the form from their website, one will be giving to you. Our names were 1st called around 9:30am where I was sent to the cashier to pay both of us medical fee which was $24,740 for myself and $9,380 for my 6yr old daughter, then we were seated back in the initial area, within a next hour we were called to do the physical (height, weight, pressure for myself and vision), we seated again, by about 11 o’clock we were sent to speak with the doctor to confirm what vaccines are necessary, he told me that I would get 3 vaccines and my daughter would get 2, the interview with the doctor lasted about 15 mins, then by 11:30 I was given a receipt type paper to pay for the vaccines which totaled $12, 897.20 for myself and $8,397.20. After this it started to go faster, within the next 10 mins I was sent to do the blood and urine test, then the x-ray, we then went back to the seated area and got the vaccines within a few minutes after. That was the end, they stamp us out and we left.

today January 30, 2020 I got a call that I need to come back for a review Of my medical tomorrow or I can visit at the time of my interview which is next week, however the medical won’t get to the embassy at the time of my interview if I choose the 2nd option so I decided to visit tomorrow. I have no idea of the reason but they said it was regular routine and not anything to worry about, but I’m still worried.

I will update after.

Had a friend who had to go bk because of high blood pressure. He was sent bk to his family doctor to regulate it. He was given meds and went bk with a report from his doc.

Hi fatima7045. We submittted documents such as AOS, tax papers, police record etc on the 2nd of December 2019, we received a response from NVC on the 1st of January 2020 that all documents were received and reviewed. We then got another response stating our interview date and time on the 6th of January 2020 after which I went online Andrews Memorial site to set up my appointment.

I felt the same way during the process, “stressed”, but it’s actually not that bad. I did my interview today and our visa will be issued soon.

Congratulations on your progress so far!!  And thank you for providing these details - that's SO helpful!!

Can you tell which vaccines are required, specifically?  (not necessarily which ones YOU needed, but which ones are required for anyone?)

Hi GinaCarterWebster, thank u. I was told buy a doctor at my public clinic before my appointment that the major ones they usually do are the varicella vaccine (chicken pox) and hepatitis b. However, I got varicella, Tdap and flu shot as the doctor said it was flu season and my daughter got the varicella and flu shot. The flu shot cost $2800 and the chicken pox shot cost $5,597.20JA per applicant. The Boostrix (Tdap) cost $4500JA.

Did you you not have to do the HepB or MMR(measles)?  Or had you already have them?

Hi Gina, I took my immunization card with me and I had gotten the MMR vaccine as a child. There was no hepatitis b on my record but I did not get it at Andrews either.
