I've looked for these question up but I keep on finding conflicting answers. Can anyone help me with it? Thanks for you attention. Here they go!

My fiancée is a full time college student, therefore her mother will be our sponsor for the AOS. Anyway, I know my fiancée is required to fill out a form I-864 as well as her mother. How does my fiancée fill out question 8, and everything on part 5 and part 6? Now, in her mother's case, how does she count her household size?* Also there is only gonna be one I-864A contract, right? Between me and my soon to be mother-in-law.

*additional info: currently, me, my fiancee and her parents live in the same house and we'll live here until the end of the summer. Anyways, this is the address that's gonna be used for AOS and later on we'll change the address (when we find a nice apartment for us).

Once again, thank you very much.

If your soon to be wife has no income, then her mother should fill out her own separate I-864. The I-864A is used for a qualifying household member to combine their income with the primary sponsor's to reach the 125% requirement. If your wife has no income, then there is nothing to combine with her mother's income with. The separate I-864 is the way to go.

For #8, she will check the box and tick yes. Like in the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf

Part 5 she puts 1 for a. (you, the intending immigrant), and 1 for b. (herself) The rest are zero, unless she has children or other dependents, so if not, total in h. would be 2.

Part 6 she can check d. and put the date she has been unemployed since, and put full time student in parentheses is she wishes. Put $0 on #23 if she makes nothing.

The mother will fill out her own I-864 and check d. for Part 1. Her household count will be herself, any spouse, any dependent children under 21, any other dependents claimed on her taxes, plus you. If she claims your wife on her taxes, then she counts in the mother's household size, if she does not claim your wife on her taxes, then she will not count your wife, and just you in her household count. The I-864 instructions explain how to count the household size.

Thank you very much Jay Kay! I forgot to mention: She is a day care worker as off now. That said, should I write down she's currently employed or that she's just a full time student? I mean, since she has some source of income I guess that would implicate her mother's income to come into the picture being combined to hers and being the solemn source of income. Once again, thank you very much!

Put her employment and how much she makes on her I-864. She can name her employer and put she is a student. For example, on the employer line: "Dainty's Day Care (and full-time college student)", if she wishes. I would still have the mother fill out her own separate I-864 though.

Thank you so much! Her mother will fill out her own I-864 so my fiancée is the primary sponsor and my soon to be mother-in-law is the joint sponsor. I'll make sure to write that down, thank you so much for your help!
