Good day VJ'ers. Praise the Lord, we already got our NOA2. o:-) :)

I just want to ask if it's okay to call the NVC to verify if they already received the forwarded petition of my fiance from the USCIS and to get our case number after 2 weeks of receiving NOA2 even it was stated on the NOA2 that we should call after 4 weeks?

God Bless us all.!:)

I started calling after 3 daysand continued everyday. THey will give you the 15 business day (3 weeks) speech. The second week I called 3 times a day. 2 weeks from my NOA2 I receive the case number the second ti,e I called. They process your petition at the NVC anytime during the work hours so keep trying. Once you receive the case # have your fiancee pay her VISA fee and then within 4-24 hours you can schedule your interview online. She can actually pay it now at BPI and it is good for 1 year. All she needs is her passport. THat ie how it is identified in the system. Good Luck.

We gave them 5 business days of grace before calling

We gave them 5 business days of grace before calling

I waited one week and called on a monday. They told me 15 business days, but I called again on Friday. Wait one week, then call. Then call a few days after that. I wouldn't suggest calling three times a day or every day because you'll just stress yourself out.

To each their own. I did it because I can, right. The second call of the day on May 16th resulted in me getting the case number because theyt process all day long.

Oh, totally. I'm not knocking anyone who chooses to call every day. I just waited because I know myself. It's whatever works for the particular person :)

For the NVC:

Give them 7 - 10 days before calling. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times

K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get there:

1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English

Press 5 for an operator

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov They are very quick at replying to emails also.

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

* If you are an attorney, include your name and the name and address of your law office.
