My husband just received his work permit about two weeks ago, and I want to know how long it will take for the green card to arrive? Also when does time start counting in regards to be able to become a citizen? If need we applied for the K-1 visa, and we were transferred to the CSC.

Thank you

If he came on a K1 and is adjusting status based on marriage to you a USC , he will be about 3 years away from being able to apply for his USC assuming he doesn't travel too much.

OP doesn't have a green card yet.

The three year period begins when the GC is approved. It doesn't have anything to do with the EAD.

If the op has an EAD based on the petition and the spouse is a USC they can apply for USC at greencard + 3 year - 90 day which is about 3 years . Usually the green card is not too far behind the EAD .

..Except that nowadays it can be months and months behind the EAD, especially for those transferred to the CSC. There are people who applied in November of last year still waiting...

Ditto to dppd, K-1 AOS is extremely backed up now, waiting time is reported around 6+ months to be adjusted.
