Applying for a Nexus Pass in 2012 - how long is wait?

Hello Canadians living in the U.S. ...I have applied online for Nexus mainly for travel from Detroit to Windsor and back. Can anyone advise how long this application is taking for approval? I applied over a month ago and still says pending approval. Also has anyone ever been denied? I was wondering if I even qualify, with a 2 -year conditional greencard.

Almost 300 pages of excellent info. The most recent posts will give you an idea of how long the current waits are. By the way, I am a Nexus member and will be coming up for renewal soon. I am trying to follow the current wait times because there are reports that they have increased in recent months.

I just got my NEXUS card interview and approval last week.

When I was looking at the website I remember seeing that if it takes longer than 8 weeks then you can contact the Ombudsmen. I think mine took between 6-7 weeks for the letter saying I was tentatively approved and could schedule an interview.

Calgary Airport interviews were taking 3 months and the Sweetgrass MT interviews were only 5 weeks so if the delay seems unreasonable, look around at the other enrolment centres to see if you can find a quicker one close enough to you.

It seemed to me during the interview that it was just a formality set up to give you information and they were very nice.
