Hey everyone! :)

I had a question regarding what name is supposed to be on your ORGINAL marriage certificate? I was told it is supposed to reflect my married name. It has my maiden name on it.

And also I never noticed before but they forgot to put my middle name on it. I live in Texas. I have to apply for ROC in a few months. What do I need to do????

thanks!

My maiden name is on ours from NE.

Some certificates have a spot for both maiden and married and some have for maiden only and some for married.

Its still a document you can use to prove name change when married regardless.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You won't need to submit a copy of your marriage certificate for ROC (unless your current GC has your maiden name on it and you want your new one to have your married name), so you probably don't need to do anything. Did you get married in Texas? If so, and unless Texas has changed how they do things in the last few years, your marriage certificate is simply your marriage licence with a seal etc. from the county clerk added after the marriage. So it makes sense to only have your maiden name on it. My marriage licence/certificate doesn't have middle names on it, only middle initials.
