USPS RETURNED MY EAD CARD

Hey all,

I got my ead card picked up by USPS and was reported delivered after 7 days on the USCIS online status. The issue that came up now is that it showed 'USPS has returned your card as undeliverable'. The situation was that we moved from our home to an apartment and we felt we should go and change our address at the post office alone so that any mail will be routed to our p.o.box instead of going to make a change of address to the USCIS. We felt it may slow things up! But rather the EAD was not delivered at the p.o.box but rather it was returned to the USCIS. How do we go about getting it back? If we update the address does it get sent back automatically or their is a way to make a request for it?

You must register your change of address with USCIS. You should have filed form AR-11.

Most non-U.S. citizens must report a change of address within 10 days of moving within the United States or its territories. Exceptions include:

Diplomats (visa status A),

Official government representatives to an international organization (visa status G), and

Certain nonimmigrants who do not possess a visa and who are in the U.S. for fewer than 30 days.

The USC also must change their address with USCIS.

U.S. Citizens who do not have an application or petition pending with USCIS are only legally required to notify USCIS of a change of address if they have previously submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of someone who has become a permanent resident. If you have previously submitted a Form I-864 for someone who immigrated to the U.S., you must complete a Form I-865 within thirty days of the completion of your move.

Thank you so much. I just realized that after it was undeliverable and I thought changing the address may affect or slow down the decision of the CSC because all my documents were filed based on the former address. Now that I couldn't get the ead I just went ahead to the site and see what to do.

My question now is after filling the AR 11 form and filling a change of address form for EAD. Do I have to do that of CSC separately? How do I confirm that the address change has been effected for all my case status?

Make sure that the USC files the I-865 too. I would advise calling USCIS and explaining that you just moved house and that the EAD was returned and see what they suggest you do.

Ok! I ll give them a call asap. Maybe I ll then ask about CSC change of address too.
