Congrats, awesome. It took us 2 months before nvc got our petition. Then another week for case number and just last night my hubby got instructions from nvc and they let him pay the first bill...yay. Next step - sending in the affidavit. I would say by the end of next week they will say my case is complete and tell me interview date, so about 3 weeks to sail through nvc...(if everything is ok with docs). Good luck, happy for you.

I just called and they received our I-130 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said they'll send us paperwork in the mail! But good thing I checked our addresses. USCIS never put in our change of address for my husband we sent in months ago. SO EXCITED! I'm also going to submit a request for expedite. How much longer til his interview? Any guesses? I know you guys will get yours soon too! Keep calling and emailing. I was every single day.

I-129F Approved on May 24th,past the 1 month mark already. NVCresearch@state.gov responded with the following:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action – Approval Notice. Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

Anyone knows how long it will take for them to get back to me on this step? Is it worth it calling the USCIS myself?

Thanks in advance

I agree, don't bother to call USCIS or contact CSC. They are useless and will just tell you it takes 30-45 business days to send the case to NVC.

Even our congressman could't get a better answer from CSC.

Sending an email to nvcresearch will not help you to get your case faster either. They will just confirm that they have looked for it and have not received it.

The holdup is at the CSC.

There is nothing we can do but keep calling NVC everyday and hope one day it will be there.

I wonder if anyone has ever called so much that they start recognizing all the operators. =P

"NVC, this is Sandra-"

"SANDRA! =D Hey, it's Bob again."

"What?"

"Bob. We spoke 5 times already..."

"..."

"NVC, this is Tammy-"

"TAMMY! You told me NVC should have my case the following Monday. It's been TWO Mondays since I talked to you last! What's going on???"

"... Sir, I need your receipt number."

"*sigh* It's Bob. Really, you guys are like family now. I've had to call so much you should have my receipt number on your Copy/Paste button. I can't believe you don't remember me. That hurts, Tammy. )="

"Sir, you really need to stop calling here."

"Do you have my case yet?"

"No."

"Okay, then I will talk to you tomorrow. Goodbye Tammy!"

"NVC, this is Ron-"

"Ronny! It's Bob. Do you have my case yet?"

"We have your case."

"YOU DO?!! YES!! This is great! You have to tell Sandra and Tammy for me! Wait, never mind. I'll just tell them myself when I call back in two hours to check if I have a case number. Talk to you later Ron!"

5 weeks since my approval. Still nothing today. Beyond disappointed. We thought 2 months after our approval would be a good estimate that we'd be back together. Now we're back to having no idea. It's like the approval never came.

And there really isn't any evidence that a block of cases got sent to the NRC. As far as I can tell, one person here was told that and they were approved in late April. I did a little research and it looks like in 2009 the CSC had a slow down like this too; petitions taking 2 months to get to the NVC. No idea what the hell they're doing over there.

Waiting since May 9, and yes, from CSC - they have greatly screwed this up big time - when they hear my NOA2 approval date on the phone at NVC, they are at least very polite at NVC. This 7 week period has been way worse on me and my Fiancee than the NOA2 apprval wait!

Just called, and this time the operator told me it hadn't even been 15 business days. What? It was approved on June 1st. That IS 15 business days, right? I mean, the operator yesterday told me it was past 15 business days, so I don't know what this person today was talking about. These people are going to make me think I'm actually going insane...

It just takes time, you have to wait! I see that your fiance is from Ukraine, just like me :)

See this thread. Apparently a block of mid-may cali petitions went to NRC by mistake. Cali has requested them back to re-review.
