I-129F

Sent to the Texas office, but it was forwarded to the California office.

NOA1 - Dec 19th, 2011

NOA2 - May 24th, 2012 (161 days, no RFE's)

As of today, June 23rd, 2012 NVC has not received it.

I started calling them at the two week mark, mostly they want to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. First they gave me the standard line of waiting 15 BUSINESS days. After 3 weeks they started reading me the nvcresearch@state.gov script. That email was sent of course. I love the part where they tell me there is no estimate on when they will respond.

Since getting my NOA2, lots and lots of people have been approved, some in as little as week, lots in 2 weeks, most in the 15 business days mark. Still there are a few of us left waiting and it is very frustrating. Can't they bar-code those suckers and let us track them online? UPS does it cheaply and efficiently. Even hospitals bar-code people now days.

:clock:

Waiting sucks. It is almost like Christmas only nobody tells you exactly when it will be. Each day you wake up and wonder if today will be the day.

Our 130 was approved may 17. I call everyday and I get the same thing. The 15 days, then email research, the "we dont have an average processing time. DO you have any more questions." "No maam, I dont know where your petition is, call back at another time." "Allow more time for your case to be processed." All the lines. I had one woman tell me I had 20 seconds and she'd hang up on me. Its the same story, day in, day out. NVC tells me to call USCIS and USCIS tells me to call NVC. Then, as you, I see people getting their NVC numbers assigned within a week or two. WHAT IS GOING?! How is this possible?? I told the operators that on the phone but "theres nothing they can do about that."

How long did it then take for them to issue you an NVC number, request the fees and send out the needed DS forms and I-864? Im losin my mind...apparently requesting an expedite means nothing to the NVC.

Please do not loose hope, it will be ok. It took 2 months for NVC to just receive my petition as well and another week to issue a case number. You just have to wait.

Another day, another phone call. At least this time I'm finally past the "15 business days" speech and moved into the "scan NOA2, send to NVCresearch" dialogue. I probably won't even bother emailing because it doesn't seem to be helping anyone else. I'm just going to try and be patient and see what happens.

Ive been emailing the research address and the supervisor for the past 30 days and only get automated responses. I had our local congresswoman contact them. They just emailed back saying to wait longer. So frustrating. Ours was approved may 17...still nothing...

I got an email back from them after about a week. It didn't say much, just that they don't have it and they'll contact the CSC to see what's going on. That was almost a week ago and still nothing. I can't blame the NVC, every time I call they couldn't be more pleasant. Why CSC wants to sit on 2 months worth of approved petitions is beyond me....

I just called and they received our I-130 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They said they'll send us paperwork in the mail! But good thing I checked our addresses. USCIS never put in our change of address for my husband we sent in months ago. SO EXCITED! I'm also going to submit a request for expedite. How much longer til his interview? Any guesses? I know you guys will get yours soon too! Keep calling and emailing. I was every single day.
