So I went for biometrics today, everything went smoothly except I felt so disappointed when the lady told me that I should expect my Employment Permit 60-90 days from today. I've always thought it was 60-90 days from the day my AOS application was filed which was March 29 (NOA date).

To those who waited for Employment Permit in the past, how long did it take for it to arrive?

Hope to get mine real soon. I wanna work already! :help:

Our EAD and AP took about 92 days from NOA. We are still waiting on Conditional Green Card (CSC :clock: )

This all depends on your local USCIS office. Check the AOS/EAD/AP stats here at VJ to get an idea of your local office.

EAD/AP is normally 60 days from filing. About 30 days from the Biometrics appointment.

Wally G is going to have a six month wait for AOS based on the AOS stats. (New York City is 170 days between biometrics and AOS interview). Other offices are different which is why to check your local office to get and idea. Phoenix is 77 days. So we expect our AOS completed with Green Card by Labor Day. However, these are just stats from recent people going through. YMMV based on the office workload and background checks needed.

Based on biometric day. You may have your EAD by June 15. (give or take a few days.)

Your AOS appointment based on VJ AOS stats on San Francisco should be around July 10.

Again YMMV because these are just averages. But are something to give you an idea of when.

EAD does not depend on local office. EAD is processed at NBC. The fingerprint place is run by a separate company who are not USCIS officers. They don't know.

Depends. Our fingerprint place and local office are one in the same. Some are separate, it is true. I agree asking them about processing of applications is a waste of time, they do not know. Not knowing does not prevent them from making up an answer. Nor does it make the answer correct.

I got my EAD a month and a half after biometrics, but I did a walk-in. If I had followed my real schedule, then it would have been two weeks later. :)

sounds like school.... I can give you any answer you want... however, it is up to you to know which answer to mark on the test to get a good grade.

When you go for biometrics, your fingerprints are also needed to process the EAD and other benefits you are filling for. It just depends on the loads of application your filing centre receives at the same time you send yours in. It can take long or a surprisingly short time. Just be patient. Good luck!
