To the person who said that CFO doesn't interview, you have NO idea what you are talking about.

My fiancé went to PRISM three days ago, for the 10am counseling. She was there until 3pm, had TWO interviews, and was asked a lot of questions, way more in fact than were asked of her at the US Embassy.

To the person who started this, you were upset enough at the CFO, that you were going to cancel your K1 Visa? No offense, but #######? If all of this happened as you said, then it sure wasn't your FIANCE'S fault, so why would you cancel the K1 visa?

Sorry, but maybe the CFO was on to something, questioning your love for this person... If her getting grilled a bit about your relationship is enough for you to break it off, then, maybe you should break it off. The truth is, the Philippines is a high-fraud country. You're under a microscope at every stage of this thing.

The truth is, it's probably wiser to do the CFO after the visa is in hand. It seems like they do suspect more and interrogate more the people who go before having their visa.

And also, how the hell does this have anything to do with your work?

You're getting way too upset over this. If you passed, move on.

The OP's relationship was compromised when the CFO began manipulating it by requiring the beneficiary to say things to the sponsor that could potentially upset someone to the point of calling it quits. He was confused and hurt because his SO was saying hurtful things, and he couldn't decipher what was going on. That's what I gathered from the entirety of his posts anyway.

I do understand being upset at the situation. But if his SO was saying these things, and he didn't trust that she was telling the truth, that he suspected she might be the one behind it, then it sounds like there might be bigger problems. Look, I know nothing of their relationship, so unfair to guess. I'm just saying that to come out of a bad experience where some jerk at the CFO office is trying to stir the proverbial s**t, to saying it made him almost cancel the whole K1 process, then it sounds like there might be other problems.

Just my opinion. Moving on...

I asked about that statement, and this should be against the law, they can't require someone to say something against her will, they can ask for proofs and validity of the relationship according to their guidelines. I asked lawyer from the Philippines, it can compromise the eligibility of that CFO branch. Just saying..... when you know its overboard... speak out. As for those sponsor, if you are not confident the capability of your beneficiary, it would be better to accompany them.

No doubt. Glad someone actually got the chance to look into this. From my first post on this thread, I spoke out in disbelief that any such manipulation could be legally warranted by the CFO. Maybe, this CFO branch needs a reality check. I don't think anyone would initially believe that the behavior of the SO was being manipulated if they DID trust their SO. Coming from a foreign perspective, the CFO is trivial to me anyway, but I would have never suspected this kind of behavior coming from CFO if I had not been forewarned.
