That is the distance from the muzzle to Martin. Add the length of Zimmerman's arm, that is where I get the 4-6 feet.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

No, you posted evidence. Only the jury can determine the facts, unless they are stipulated by both sides in the course of the trial.

Ok. Evidence then. I'm not going to engage in an argument with no one here. It's senseless and exhausting.

"Intermediate" range, according to Mark Fuhrman, is 24 to 36 inches. If Zimmerman's arm was fully extended, pointing at Martin, that means Martin and Zimmerman were 4 to 6 feet apart.

The gunshot wound entrance was from a bullet fired from "intermediate range," or two to four inches, "a soot ring abrasion and a two-inch by two-inch area of stippling" on his body.

Those are the inconsistencies in Zimmerman's story. If Martin was on top of him beating him as Zimmerman seems to claim, then Zimmerman could not have shot him from an intermediate range (min of 2 feet). Unless Martin had arms long enough to make that story still work. Don't think that was the case. Hence, he's charged with and will be tried for 2nd degree murder. Florida will be a better place once Zimmerman is locked up.

martin could have got off of him & then started back towards him again....we'll never know. imo the prosecutor reached to far w/ murder2. they should have went for voluntary manslaughter. if this goes to trial and if zimmerman doesn't plea down, i think he walks.

In forensics there are four types of gunshot wound: Contact wound - The muzzle of the gun was applied to the skin at the time of shooting, Close Range - The muzzle of the gun was 6-8 inches away from the skin at shooting, Intermediate Range - The gun was 8 inches to 3.5 feet away, and Distant - The gun was over 3.4 feet away at the time of shooting.

An intermediate range gunshot, like that seen in the above image, can range from just beyond the 12-inch range out to 24 to 36 inches. This depends greatly upon the caliber, barrel length and powder type used in the ammunition.

Facts are facts so save your usual bs.

I really think you might be correct about them overreaching. And you're right, we'll never know what happened REALLY because dead men don't talk. Zimmerman made sure of it.

Another thing I don't understand. In all the narratives, it details all the attempts of various officers and fire dept rendering CPR to the victim. Well, with all of Zimmerman's former training at the police academy...you would think he'd at least know CPR. If he truly felt remorseful/depressed (and all that other bs he's stated) then why wouldn't he at least TRY to revive the kid? I know that if I shot someone while defending myself, and felt horrible about having killed them, I might actually try to do something to help them. Thoughts?

 good luck finding "a soot ring abrasion and a two-inch by two-inch area of stippling" on his body." at that definition of intermediate range.

If he shot him at 2,3 or 45.678 range, doesn't change the fact that IF he wanted to disable Martin until authorities arrived, he would have aimed at his shoulder, leg, foot, crotch. NOT HIS CHEST. Only one reason to do that.
