I am not sure if I understand the question, but you could get married in any state in the U.S. It does not have to be the state that you live. Do you mean country or county?

You can get married in any state/city/county within the U.S. that you and fiancé meet the requirements to be issued a marriage license. Not knowing the regulations of every area of the country there might be places that have residency requirements or other requirements you don't meet, but I would imagine there are very few places you couldn't get married.

Not necessarily - we got our marriage license in the county in which we live, but we got married in a totally different county. We had no problems.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

It works this way in Texas too...get a license in my county and it is good in any county in Texas.

You get the Nevada marriage license from the county clerks office, but it is valid anywhere in Nevada for one year. I think its the same in California.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

For K-1 it just has to be from a US state (or DC or Puerto Rico).

My marriage licence/certificate is from Oakland County, MI--and I live in MD.

The Marriage certificate is good for any county in the State that you got it in. So if you live in Washington State. You can get a marriage license in King County and get married in Chelan County....but you can't get married in a different state with a WA ML....

I would only assume it is the same for every state.
