Contacting the embassy by phone in Islamabad is near hopeless! Better luck trying to email them, but sometimes they still don't even respond. Try calling DOS and/ or get an elected official involved. You might have better luck getting info this way, but it's not going to change the fact you are in AP or making it any shorter. Some here have been in AP a year or longer. Hang in there!!

Salaam Tahascorp, I have been on AP since March 2012 I think the best thing to do now is contact Department of State in Washington.

I recently contacted a lawyer here in my city and she said that on there website and on the 221g refusal worksheet (that my fiance received at the end of his interview) it says to NOT contact the Pakistan embassy until 6 months after your interview has passed. That is why they don't even respond to our emails. Six months is the maximum wait time they have suggested, this doesn't mean it will come sooner. So I think you should just wait 6 months then begin to call and email the embassy. Since your interview was in January then start calling in July.

Good luck to you!
